Hello world! My name is Stacey and I am currently a student in Explorations in Music at UAF. When I'm not in class, I love to create, whether that be crocheting a blanket or drawing in my sketchbook. I've been dancing in all sorts of styles since I was a toddler, like ballet, jazz, and tap. And, of course, I can't forget how much I enjoy music. A photo I took of flowers in Soldotna, AK Music has been a core part of my life not only as a dancer, but as a musician. I learned basic piano skills as a kid, and have been playing violin as my main instrument since elementary school. I adore playing in orchestras--there is just something indescribable about being physically immersed in the music one is creating. Even just listening to orchestral performances live and in-person is an incredible experience. While I sometimes listen to orchestral music, I most often listen to pop music.
